Perfect Cake Liners

So i have been a terrible blogger lately!

First I went off to Japan and left you all hanging.

(sneek peek . . .more pics next week)

Then I come back and make a delicious and beautiful Pavlova, which I only have this one picture of.

Then, to make matters worse, I go and make TWO German's chocholate cakes and forget to take pictures of the finished products!!  Here they are ready to be covered in ganache . . .

(They are already devoured so it is too late to take pics now.)

But don't fear!  I have a good idea for a blogg that will help you follow all of my future layer cake recipies.

I will teach you how to make the perfect parchment paper circles to line cake pans.

Although this sounds unecessary and boring, once you can do it it will make your life 100000 times easier.
I promise.

PERFECT CAKE PAN LINERS:

Start out with your two pans and a sheet of parchment.
Cut the parchment into two squares each slightly larger then the pan.
Fold each square in 1/2.
Fold each triangle in 1/2.
Fold each triangle in 1/2 again.
Place the wedge in so that the point is in the center of the pan and mark where it hits the edge.  Cut the wedge in an arc shape just inside the mark.
Note how the wedge now fits in the pan.
Spray the pan with cooking spray or grease with butter.
Unfold your paper and volia. . .perfect can pan liners.

(Next week i am planning a wonderful Japanese Green Tea themed dessert to make up for all my debockles.  They put green tea in everything over there!)
